The 24/7 ZEN Project at Electroceramics XIX Conference

The 24/7 ZEN project recently participated in the Electroceramics XIX conference, held from August 19-22, 2024, at the historic University of Vilnius, Lithuania. The conference was well-organized, along with a memorable gala dinner at the Palace of the Grand Dukes.

The event was filled with presentations, networking, and a poster session, while it also included a guided tour of the Grand Duke’s Palace—a highlight for many attendees. The conference covered a range of insightful topics on ceramic synthesis, processing, and characterization techniques—areas that are highly relevant to our work in sustainable energy.

Dr. Lucile Bernadet from IREC, the coordinator and a key partner in the 24/7 ZEN project, represented our project at the Electroceramics XIX conference. Her oral presentation, “Thin films as key functional layers for Reversible Solid Oxide Cells” showcased the progress being made in developing barrier layers using Pulse Laser Deposition and Rapid Thermal Processing. This research is crucial for enhancing the performance and durability of Reversible Solid Oxide Cells, which play a significant role in our project.

Our participation in this conference underlines our commitment to advancing electroceramics and fostering innovations that align with the goals of the 24/7 ZEN project.
