The 24/7 ZEN project at the Electrophoretic Deposition VIII: Fundamentals and Applications conference
The 24/7 ZEN project was represented at the Electrophoretic Deposition VIII: Fundamentals and Applications conference, held on 12–16 October 2025 in Cetraro, Italy, where Francesco Gallo from Politecnico di Torino delivered a presentation on recent project results. The conference provided an international platform for sharing advances in electrophoretic deposition technologies and related materials research, offering a suitable setting for showcasing progress achieved within the project.

The presentation focused on the electrophoretic deposition of protective layers on interconnects for reversible cell operation. In particular, it described the development and implementation of innovative material systems combined with optimised sintering methodologies. These approaches aim to minimise dependence on critical raw materials while simultaneously improving the performance, durability and protective functionality of the deposited layers. Enhancing these properties is essential for ensuring stable and efficient operation of the system, ultimately contributing to longer device lifetime and improved overall resilience.

This contribution forms part of the project’s wider dissemination activities, reinforcing engagement with the scientific and research community and fostering knowledge exchange on advanced materials solutions relevant to sustainable energy technologies.
